March 20, 2020 Dear Common Crow Customers,
As of March 21st, 2020, our hours of operation will be 10 am to 6 pm until further notice. We feel this change is necessary due to these unprecedented times in order to continue to serve our customers and employees in the healthiest and most effective manner possible. These hours will also allow our staff to continue to rest and stay healthy, and allow for extra cleaning and sanitizing time before and after the store is open. We are hoping that by limiting our hours we can play a small role in limiting exposure to the virus. We will continue to offer in-store shopping, curbside pick-up, and our cafe will remain open for coffee and hot soup during our new hours of operation.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in these trying times, we understand this places a lot of stress on the community, but seeing everyone come together to help each other is truly a beautiful experience. Whether it be customers picking up food for friends and family, or simply the amount of dedication from everyone taking the necessary precautions with gloves and hand washing, our community has really shown their true (caring) colors. From all of us here, we are honored to continue to be a resource, and best wishes for a happy spring from our Crow family to yours!
Sincerely, Common Crow Staff

Dear Common Crow Customers,
These are a few more things we are implementing to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
-We are limiting our Cafe service to coffee and soup service. -There will be no self-serve kombucha. -No in-store dining.
Our Kitchen is still making delicious ready-to-go entrees and sides. And we have a variety of kombucha in our cooler. We will continue to monitor closely and be nimble in adjusting our operations to prioritize the health and safety of you our valued staff and customers.
Thank you, Common Crow Staff
Actions We’re Taking to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
March 13, 2020
Dear Common Crow Customers, It is often the case, in difficult times, that grocery stores are a vital resource to the communities they serve. The recent outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in our region is proving that this continues to be true. Our customers and staff have come to us in recent days to stock their pantry, replenish cleaning supplies, and prepare alongside others in the community. As a grocery store, we are in the unique position of offering essential services for our community while also doing all we can to minimize risk to our staff, and shoppers. In light of the situation, I want to share the things our store is doing to best serve customers, care for our staff, and be a responsible member of our community:
While Common Crow has had no reported COVID-19 infections in our store, we have asked any staff exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness or fever to stay home and notify their physician. We have also given our staff who have underlying medical conditions the option to stay home to minimize any potential exposure. Our store has a sick and vacation policy, and we will do our very best to work with employees on a case-by-case basis to ensure they have the support they need.
Members and shoppers have requested hand sanitizer and sanitized wipes to cleanse cart and handbasket handles. With the increased demand nationwide for these items, we are having difficulty procuring them for our stores. While we work to find a supplier, we are tasking staff with frequently cleaning these high-touch areas.
Our store prides itself on its cleanliness and food safety standards and has full-time managers on duty that are food safety certified (Serv Safe). With their support, and following guidance from the CDC and other agencies, we have implemented even more rigorous cleaning practices throughout the entire store. This includes frequently sanitizing high-touch locations like payment machines, scales, bathroom areas and, as mentioned above, carts and handbaskets. We are also changing out hot bar utensils on an hourly basis, and offering gloves at all self-serve stations.
We have heavily invested in training our store’s management teams on food safety, with the majority of store and department leaders having completed advanced food safety training, including all supervisors in our deli departments.
All staff handling ready-to-eat foods are already required to wear gloves or use tongs.
We are working closely with our suppliers to ensure we have the essentials that both our staff and customers are seeking, like pantry staples, cleaning supplies, and health and body care items.
Throughout all of this, we are making additional efforts to demonstrate our gratitude to all of our staff who continue to work each day with commitment, compassion, and kindness to ensure our stores are stocked, clean, and ready to serve the community. We anticipate that guidance from federal, state and local agencies may change rapidly over the coming days and weeks. We will continue to monitor closely and be nimble in adjusting our operations to prioritize the health and safety of you our valued staff and customers.
Sincerely, Kelly/Store Manager
